About Me.

Hi, My name is Lilliana Alvarez Rivera

(Owner/Provider of Lilly's Gentle Hearts Daycare) . I'm 37 years old. I'm married and I'm a mother of three. I'm from Puerto Rico. I've  been living in Springfield, MA for the last 17 + years. I speak Spanish & English.

Although I always have love children I never imagine becoming a teacher, just a few years ago I decided to explore in the childcare field and  after gaining some knowledge in this field I started working in a Center base program to gain experience and I fell in love, despite being a very demanding job, it is very rewarding. When  I got pregnant last year (2021) I decided that I wanted to continue working with children, but in a more direct way that allow me to provide a personalize care for each child according to their needs and at the same time allow me to be with my baby and here I am, I embarked on this adventure, I  decided to open my own child care to have the opportunity to contribute to our society in a positive way.  Working with children and be able to be a mom is incredibly rewarding, is an opportunity that brings me a lot of joy and I'm thankful for that it's such a gift to be able to teach and guide the children in my care and  share the best of me. 

 When, I think about a professional in the field of early education, I think about a figure who is willing to help and educate out of their vocation, empathy and love for children. Someone who has knowledge and the skills necessary to facilitate children’s learning. A facilitator who helps children to learn and grow in a healthy environment and provides children with the tools they need to reach their limits and helps them to gain the skills and abilities that children are going to need for their later success in life. I believe children deserve the opportunity to have a high-quality education and care. They need love, support, a high-quality education.

My goal is to be the best that I could be for the children in my care. I will ensure the safety and wellbeing of all the children. I will be alert and attentive. I will provide a safe, healthy and enjoyable environment for the children to have a rich experience while in my care.
